Ann Frances Ibbotson papers, 1832-1882.

Letters written by Ann Frances (Darling) Ibbotson to her parents, Thomas and Frances (Frith) Darling, soon after her marriage to Henry Ibbotson. The Ibbotsons were in England at the time, though the last letter was written from Brooklyn, New York. Also includes accounts of Henry Ibbotson from 1837. Some other writings include "Dewdrops of Wisdom," a poem written by Clarissa Ely for Oliver Ely and wife's 50th anniversary, a short history of Native Americans in Connecticut, and a story written by Matilda Cary. The latest letter was written by Ann Ibbotson, in Binghamton, to her granddaughter Anne in 1882. Anne lived in Portland, Connecticut. Ann Darling Ibbotson is an Ely descendent (the Elys settled in Connecticut). Her son, Henry William, married Lucy Matilda Cary.
